Police recover stolen excavator, Chevy and tools in Durham Region | Durham Radio News

Durham police have uncovered a stolen mini excavator and a Chevrolet Camaro following an investigation in Durham Region.

Police were looking for a number of stolen construction and landscaping tools over the spring and summer of 2022. They wound up arresting two people and seizing the excavator and the 1968 Camaro.

Kevin Delaurier, 47, of Uxbridge, has been charged with breaking and entering (three counts), theft of a motor vehicle, possession of property obtained by crime (under $5,000), failure to comply with an undertaking and operating a conveyance while prohibited.

Nicole Lewis, 40, of Stouffville, has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime (over $5,000), breaking and entering (three counts) and possession of property obtained by crime (under $5,000).

Police said in July that they had recovered more then $120,000 in stolen equipment.
